It snuck up quietly, a little at a time. That’s the way some things happen. And we’re unaware until it’s too late (or almost). Like with my eyesight. I was convinced I could see. But truth is, I was going blind.
We mostly ditched Christmas a few years ago. Not out of Scroogish tendencies, but because of the increasing materialism. Each year it became harder for us to find true meaning and spirituality among all the commercial trappings. So for several years we did little during the holidays.
All sorts of people crowded around Christ, and he never turned them away. No matter what they were like, or who they were, he was willing to take them in.
Christ stated that he is the Alpha and the Omega. But what an odd phrase! If Christ were to come today and declare, “I am the A and the Z,” that would seem a bit strange, wouldn’t it? We just don’t normally speak in such terms.
After a month long absence Hubby and I are at long last home! (HOME. Isn’t that a beautiful word?) To say that we missed it would be a gross understatement. We spent all of September in the States, traveling a total of 13,202 miles!
