I would imagine that most (or at least many) Christ-followers have at least heard of John Stott, well-known for his godly writings which greatly influenced the global church. But he was perhaps most remembered as the pastors’ pastor, loved for his humble simplicity. Two things, however, stand out in particular for me.
Mud volcanoes, or mud domes, are pseudo volcanoes, as they do not produce lava and are not necessarily driven by magmatic activity. They are found in various parts of Italy and in most parts of the world including Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Various types exist and some are even artificial.
As the sun wanes in the western sky the cool evening air beckons to all Italians everywhere to take to the streets – for la passeggiata. Young and old, and in between – it’s time for the evening promenade.
If you could leave but one thing behind you what would it be? Wealth and property? Family heirlooms? For me those don’t even enter the running. Not only because I have few such things to leave. But because I hope, above all, to leave a lasting legacy.
Change is often unexpected and unwanted, and comes when we least expect it. Which I think we’ve all come to see through the Covid pandemic. None of us could have expected it or the changes it’s brought to our lives and world.
Our local coastline, known as Italy’s Trabocchi Coast, is quite unique because of the special fishing platforms along its shores. Many of which have been transformed into elegant restaurants — right IN THE SEA!!
